VFW Post 12242 has established a partnership with the residents of the Wellpoint senior living community to ensure that veteran residents have meaningful opportunities to connect with fellow veterans. This collaboration directly supports the Post’s mission: to preserve and strengthen comradeship among its members; to assist worthy comrades; to honor the memory and history of our fallen; to support their widows and orphans.

The Post Meeting Place is: Residence at Wellpoint, 2940 Mill Run Road, Hampton Cove, AL 35763, every third Wednesday of the month at 1800 hours.
 
As yesterday’s defenders of freedom, we proudly welcome today’s service members to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us as part of an elite brotherhood and sisterhood. We are bound not just by uniforms, but by shared moments on the battlefield—whether in the Persian Gulf, Korea, Kosovo, Vietnam, WWII, the War on Terrorism, or in peace-keeping and expeditionary missions around the world.
